Ranthambore National Park is located in the eastern Rajasthan at the meeting
point of Aravali Hill ranges and the Vindhyanchal Plateau. This was the hunting
point of Maharaja of Jaipur in the medieval period. The Chambal and Banas river
in the south and north respectively bound this park. There are Six lakes and
many perennial streams that criss cross the entire park. All these thing make
the national park most beautiful and suitable for the visitors.
There are ancient Banyan trees, pipal and dhok trees. Several clusters of
mango and an evergreen belt. The terrain is made up of rock, scarps, streams,
lake and steep and the National park opening up in the Savannah region. Thus
this is fluctuates between impregnable jungles and open bush land. The atmosphere
is typical dry deciduous.
Ranthambore National Park is famous for its tigers. This is the best place
for photo expedition of Tiger and other wildlife. This has a rich diversity
of rich fauna and flora. There are more than 300 trees species, 50 aquatic
plants species, 272 birds species and 12 reptiles species and 30 mammals.
A large number of Sambhar, Chital, Bilgai, Gazzelle, Mongoose, boars, Indian
Hare, Monitor Lizards and a very large number of birds.
